<p><em>The purpose of this study was to describe the learning process, and obstacles encountered the learning of Islamic Education and Character by using Curriculum 2013 in State High School 1 Lintau Buo. The type of the research is descriptive by using Mix Method. The informants in this research were teachers of Islamic Education and Character, students and headmaster. The data collection techniquee were used in this study interview, observation and documentation. The results obtained indicate that the learning process of Islamic Education and Character has been implemented. However, there were some components of the learning process that has not been done as it should be such using the scientific approach, the use of the media, the use of teaching materials and handling students’ character. The efforts were done by school in implementing the curriculum 2013 were providing and expanding school’s facilities, conduct training, supervision and evaluation of teachers and students.</em></p><strong>Keywords: </strong><em>Islamic Education and Character, Learning Process, Curriculum 2013, State High School 1 Lintau Buo</em>

<div class="WordSection1"><p><em>This study was qualitative and focused on the management of Semi Autonomous Institute (LSO) Wihdatul Ummah Batusangkar Foundation of Education in Improving the Quality of Education in SDIT Qurrata A’yun Batusangkar. The background of this research was the parents are more interested to educate their children in Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Qurrata A’yun, meanwhile half of them are teachers in SD, SMP, MTs, SMA, MA and lecturer. The result revealed that the management of Semi Autonomous Institute was run well. LSO did the management based on the guide book The Management System of Semi Autonomous Institute 2013. LSO organized the program to upgrade the quality of education in every units. The programs were 1) Early Years Program; 2) Monthly Activity; 3) Weekly Activity; and 4) Daily Activity. <p><em>The purpose of the study was to describe the instructional process of Islamic Education subject in State High School 1 Rambatan. This research was qualitative. The subjects of the study was the Islamic education teachers that consist of 3 teachers. The instruments of data collection were observation and documentation. Data were analyzed by using matrix analysis or logic analysis Glaser and Strauss. <p><em>This study aimed at describing the implementation of the headmaster’s academic supervision on upgrading teachers’ performance in Islamic Primary School Singkarak, Solok. The interview and documentation were used as insturments to collect data. <p><em>This research aimed at describing the management of Boarding School Diniyyah Pasia on upgrading students’ speaking of Arabic language skill. This research belongs to qualitative case study. The results revealed that the management was good. The curriculum applied was determining on Arabic language skill in order to make good environment on speaking of Arabic skill. <p><em>The purpose of this research was to know the implementation of teachers’ professional development in Islamic Secondary School Tarbiyah Islamiah Tanah Datar and the impact of the implementation of the teachers’ professional development to the quality of education in Islamic Secondary School Tarbiyah Islamiah Tanah Datar. This research was qualitative case study. The result obtained indicate that particularly in Islamic Secondary School Tarbiyah Islamiah Pariangan, Islamic Secondary School Tarbiyah Islamiah Tanjung Barulak and Islamic Secondary School Tarbiyah Islamiah Jaho were not good, the coaching responsibilities of teachers’ professional development is still left to the headmaster and the participation of regional government was less. </em></p><strong>Keywords: </strong><em>Teachers’ Professional Development, Islamic Secondary School, Tarbiyah Islamiah, Quality of Education, Tanah Datar.</em>

<p><em>The purpose of this research was to see the implementation of discipline character in instructional process of Islamic education at State High School 1 Batusangkar. This research was descriptive research. This research focused on teachers’ character and school’s character. Meanwhile to check the trustworthiness of the data, the researcher used triangulation technique. The result of the research revealed that implementation of education discipline character in instructional process of Islamic education at State High School 1 Batusangkar was good. The discipline character building was implemented by giving the direct example to the student, advising, inserting to the instructional process, reminding, and giving punishment. <p><em>The purpose of this research was to reveal how extend the correlation of the training and the teaching experience<strong> </strong>toward the teachers’ performance of State Islamic High School in Tanah Datar. There were three hypotheses tested 1) the training contributed significantly toward the teachers’ professionalism; 2) the teachers’ teaching experience contributed significantly toward the teachers’ professionalism; 3) simultaneously, the training and teaching experience contributed significantly toward the teachers’ performance of State Islamic High School Tanah Datar. The research population were all teachers of State Islamic High School Tanah Datar which consist of 121 teachers and 53 teachers were selected as a research sample by using stratified proportional random sampling. Research data were collected through questionnaire. The first, and second hypothesis were tested by using simple correlation and regression, and the third hypothesis was tested by using multiple regression. The result showed that a) the training contributed significantly (26,50%) toward the teachers’ professionalism; b) the teachers’ teaching experience contributed significantly (26,00%) toward the teachers’ professionalism; and c) simultaneously, the training and the teaching experience contributed significantly (40,70%) toward the teachers’ professionalism. </em></p><strong>Keywords:</strong> <em>Training, Teaching Experience, Teachers’ Professionalism</em>, <em>State Islamic High School, Tanah Datar</em>

<p>The research study about the screening of the resistance of red chilli (<em>Capsicum annuum</em> L.) resulted from mutation induced by Ethyl Methane Sulphonate (EMS) on the second generation (M<sub>2</sub>) to antrachnose diseases has been done by using descriptive method to intensity diseases of Colletotrichum capsici from mutant fruit of second generation. The result showed that the intensity of antrachnose on red chilli generation ranged from 23.69% to 54.82% with tolerance criteria susceptible and very susceptible.</p><p>Key words: mutation induced, ethyl methane sulphonate, antraknosa red chille, antrachnose</p>

<p>This research had been done to know the mass production of Pf (Fluorescent Pseudomonads) in coconut liquid media. Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications was implemented in this research which consisted of 5 incubation periods: the 0, 2<sup>nd</sup>, 4<sup>th</sup>, 6<sup>th</sup>, and 8<sup>th</sup>weeks. The data gathered were analyzed by ANOVA and DNMRT (5% confidence level). As the result, the incubation period within 6 weeks in coconut liquid media gave good response to increase the mass production of Pf. <div><p>The study on growth respons of Lansium domesticum poliembryoni seed on MS and WPM media with added by coconut water had been carried out from Maret up to Mei 2006. This experiment had been done in Tissue Culture Laboratory, Agronomy-Holticulture Depatment, Agronomy Faculty, Institute Pertanian Bogor, using two factorial of Completely Randomized Design with nine treatments, and ten replications. The first factor treatment were MS, ½ MS and WPM media, and the 2<sup>nd </sup> factor were 0, 15 and 20% coconut water. The result showed that the emergence time of the first adventitious shoot were beginning on 26,5 days after planting, with one until four numerous of shoots, on MS, ½ MS, WPM media with added until 20% coconut water. There were only 50-70% shoot formed on 8 weeks after planting. With 20% coconut water suplemented on MS culture media showed that the height of shoots were significant than controle.</p>Key words: <em>Lansium domesticum</em>, coconut water, polyembryonic seed, culture media.</div><div> </div>

<p>Isolation and characterization of fungus that caused root and stem rotten in durian have been conducted. Isolation using baiting method with apple and than inoculated to PSM medium, while characterization using light microscope. Characterization result showed that P. palmivora isolated from infected durian have white, stratified and stellate colony, unsepta hyphae and form clamidospore, oospore, zoospore and sporangium.</p><p>Key words: isolation, <em>Phytophthora palmivora</em>, spora</p>

<em>This article discusses the concept of reintegration in the implementation maqashid sharia of the customary law: Adat Basandi Syara', Syara' basandi Kitabullah (ABSSBK) in Minangkabau cultural region. This paper provides a scientific answer, how it should be, in practice, maqashid sharia as an integral part in ABSSBK. To collect, to analyze, and to interpret the data comparative literature was used. The basic values were compared with the concept of maqashid sharia ABSSBK. The result showed that the terms of syara’ found in the philosophy of ABSSBK have the similar characteristics to maqashid sharia, yet the device has not formulated detailed practicesl. The implications and significance showed clear link between the value (axiology) syara and maqashid sharia. Therefore, maqashid sharia can be referred in establishing ABSSBK as a basis of thought, movement and arbitration of nation-state.</em>

<p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Memahami merupakan sebuah proses untuk mengungkap makna terhadap suatu teks, memahami berbeda dari mengetahui. Karena memahami menyiratkan kemampuan untuk merasakan sesuatu yang dialami oleh orang lain. Seseorang bisa saja memiliki banyak pengetahuan, tetapi sedikit pemahaman. Hal tersebut mengacu pada suatu kemampuan untuk menjangkau pribadi seseorang. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan oleh ulama terdahulu, yaitu dalam rangka mengungkap makna teks hadis, akan tetapi belum mendapatkan makna yang memuaskan. Atas kondisi tersebut, Fazlur Rahman menawarkan teori hermeneutik sosio historis sebagai pisau analisis dalam membedah makna yang terkandung dalam teks hadis. Langkah yang ditempuh Fazlur Rahman dalam memahami hadis yaitu dengan hibridasi antara pola berfikir induktif dan diakhiri dengan pola berfikir deduktif. Sehingga menghasilkan pembacaan yang komprehensif terhadap makna hadis.</p><strong>Abstract</strong>: Understanding is a prosess to explore of the meaning of the teks. Understanding is different with knowing. Because, understanding imply capability to experience something be experienced by someone. Someone can be posesessed of many knowledge, but litle understanding. Its refer to a ability understanding someone. A variety efforts was done by ulama former, that is in order to explore meaning of the teks hadis, but that not enough. That condition, Fazlur Rahman offer a hermenutic theory as analysis knife in operate on meaning of the texs hadis. The way in which Fazlur Rahman to understanding hadis is with hybridation between inductive and deductive system. With the result that comprehensive reading to meaning of the hadis.

<em>This study aims to find the correlation of motivation, behavior and spiritual peak experience in the view of Islamic psychology. This type of research, namely qualitative research in the form of literature study. The primary data source of this research, namely the theory of hierarchy of human basic needs from Abraham Maslow. Meanwhile, secondary research data sources, namely various other relevant western motivational theories. The theory is used as a knife of analysis, namely the theory of motivation of the human soul from al-Ghazali which includes dimensions of heart, reason and lust. This study concludes that in the perspective of Islamic psychology there is a strong relationship between motivation and the behavior of every human being in the process of achieving spiritual peak experiences. The relationship of motivation and human behavior in the perspective of Islamic psychology that is more likely to emphasize religious motives (spiritual), both in psychological and physiological conditions of humans. motivation and behavior in Islam are very closely related to various stages in the process towards the ultimate spiritual human experience.</em>

<p>The research was done in Nagari Limau Gadang, West Sumatera. The purpose of the research was to study the rate of intestinal nematode infection on the students of SDN Nagari Limau Gadang.The population of the research was the students of SDN Nagari Limau Gadang as many as 100 students divided into six grades, that is grade 1 until grade 6. By using stratified proportional random sampling, 40% of the students on each grade were considered as the sample. The hypothesis of the research was 85% of the students were infected by intestinal nematode and 15% were not. As the result, the hypothesis was accepted; more than 75% of the students of SDN Nagari Limau Gadang in Pesisir Selatan regency were infected by intestinal nematode, especially <em>Ascaris lumbricoides</em>35% and <em>Ancylostoma</em> 8,33%. It was found that intestinal nematode mostly infected female students, the students under 9 years old, and those with uneducated parents.</p><p> </p><p>Key words: infection, nematode, student</p>
