<p><em><span>A qualitative study was conducted at investigating the implementation of authentic assessment in curriculum 2013 on Islamic education and attitude of SMP Negeri 4 Pariaman and the factors supporting and inhibiting the authentic assessment. This study applied observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of authentic assessment was run well. The assessment upgraded the students’ interest and students’ creative. The assessment also increased students’ motivation on activities were done in school environment. The factor supported the implementation of authentic assessment was workshop and infrastucture while the factor inhibitted the implementation was too many students in the class.</span></em></p><p><em><span> <strong>Keywords: </strong>Authentic Assessment, Curriculum 2013, Islamic Education, Attitude, SMP</span></em></p>

<p><em>This research was aimed at investigating (1) lesson plan based on scientific approach as curriculum 2013 in the class VII of MTs Negeri Padang Luar; (2) the implementation of English learning based on saintific approach; (3) the model of the learning in the curriculum 2013; (4) the use of instructional media; and (5) the assessment process based on curriculum 2013. This research was qualitative descriptive. Data were collected by using documentation, observation, and interview. The results showed that (1) lesson plan used in english learning in the class VII of MTs Negeri Padang Luar accordance to Ministry Rule (Permen) No. 58, 2014; (2) the learning process has reflected the achievement of KI-1, KI-2, KI-3, and KI-4; (3) English </em><em>learning based on a scientific approach covering five learning experience of observing, questioning, experimenting, associating and communicating feasible although it still not optimal; (4) the use of instructional media is not maximized because infocus display less clear and not attractive; (5) the assessment consist of attitude, knowledge, and skill. Based on this research suggested to the teachers to familiarize themselves communicating in English. Principals should consider the availability of instructional media. <p><em>This research was purposed at describing the leadership style of headmaster in Secondary School 2 Rambatan. This research used qualitative paradigm by applying case study method. In collecting the data the researcher used tape recorder, interview guideline and observation sheet and applied the techniques of interview, observation and documentary study. The informants of this research were 28 persons which consist of headmaster, the teacher and the administration staff of Secondary School 2 Rambatan. The results of the research obtained that (1) in managing teachers’ competence the headmaster applied strict style and strongly discipline; (2) In motivating teachers’ to improve the students’ achievement the headmaster applied democratic style; (3) In developing curriculum the headmaster applied democratic style; and (4) in managing financial resources the headmaster applied strict style, democratic, and participative. </em></p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: Leadership Style, Headmaster, Secondary School, Rambatan</em>

<p><em><span>This study was aimed at describing the strategy on building the students’ character values in high school 1 Padang Panjang. This study was qualitative by using interview, documentation and observation as instruments. The results revealed that the strategy on upgrading students’ character were applied in intracurricular and extracurricular. In intracurricular, there was morning mentoring program. In extracurricular, there were educational building through small group; night mentoring; Islamic orientation; memorizing quran; Friday praying; annual islamic day; Islamic hiking; Islamic Study Tour (IST); and Ramadhan School. To upgrade the students’ independent, the programs applied were 1) cleaning class; 2) cleaning room; 3) early wake up for praying tahajjud and subuh; 4) washing own clothes. </span></em></p><p><em><span><strong>Keywords: </strong>Strategy, Students’ Character Values, High School, Padang Panjang</span></em></p>

<p><em>Planning provides a wide range of decisions and explanations of the purpose, policy, program determination, methods and specific procedures. This qualitative study aimed at describing the instructional planning management of Islamic education on upgrading students’ achievement in Primary School Kota Solok. The intruments in this study were interview, observation and documentation. The results revealed that the teachers did make sylabus; annual program; semester program; efeective days; lesson plan; minimum standard criteria; and educational calendar. The teachers also did cooperation with the parents to upgrade students’ achievement. <p><em>This qualitative study analyzed the management of principal on applying Islamic values in Primary School 28 Rambatan. The intruments in this study were interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that the management was done well. <p><em>This study was aimed at describing the management of reformatory of At-Taqwa Muhammadiyah on building the students’ personality MTs Muhammadiyah Padang Luar. The study was qualitative case study by applying interview, documentation and observation as instruments. The data were analyzed by using triangulation method. <p><em>In this qualitative study, the researcher analyzed the headmaster’s strategy on upgrading the quality of instruction and teachers’ work ethos in Primary School 05 Koto Tangah, Tanjung Emas, Tanah Datar. The results revealed that the strategies were applied by the headmaster 1) encourage teachers to be creative and innovative; 2) discipline; 3) give an advice on making lesson plan; 4) supervise the class; 5) complete the instructional infrasructure; and 6) upgrade the instructional evaluation. <p><em>This research was aimed at describing the management of poor students’ subsidy (Bantuan Siswa Miskin/BSM) in MTs Negeri Padang Panjang related to (1) planning; (2) organizing on determination the receivers BSM; (3) briefing; (4) coordinating; and (5) supervising. This research was qualitative case study. The respondents of this research were the principal, committee, vice principal, administrator of BSM, and the receivers of BSM in 2015. Data reduction, data diplay and data conclusion were applied on analyzing data. The results obtained indicate that (1) the planning was appropriate with the technical instruction, it started from preparation meeting, quotas determination and collection; (2) the organizing was seen from the receivers’ mechanism based on the owner of KPS or SKTM, (3) the briefing was seen from the socializing BSM to the parents related to the benefit and usage of BSM; (4) the coordinating was done through distribution and usage mechanism should use Bank students’ account; and (5) the supervising was done by monitoring the usage should be appropriate with the program. <p align="justify">Density of traffic is increasing very quickly in Indonesia ending of the time and that’s problem making serious of traffic Jam. One of city experience that is Padang. One of the area experience that traffic is Bundaran air Mancur, Pasar Raya Padang. This research destination is to know and to description Padang Governmental to overcoming traffic Jam in Bundaran Air Mancur, Pasar Raya Padang. Location of this thesis is Bundaran Air Mancur, Pasar Raya Padang, using qualitative and descriptive method, and purposive sampling to choice the informan. This thesis using 8 method books, 19 theory books, 5 of journal and 8 websites. If we hooked the problem with aspect of transportation like Le Grand, Julian and Ray Robinson said in their book they said that four aspects of transportation to look city of transportation is availability, quality, accessibility, and price<em> </em>then Padang Governmental already take out some policy but that policy not yet to support aspect of transportation. From the result of this research can we make conclution that legitimate policy take out of Padang Governmental in just in sector price. Other aspect like availability, accessibility and quality not yet to be serious attention by taker of policy of transportation. Padang Governmental give autonomy for Communication Department to put in order operational transportation problems in Padang City included in Bundaran Air Mancur be based on Padang Mayor Regulation Number 31 years 2008, where Communication Department posess one of task to manage and traffic engineer. By based on that Communication Department have knit some special policy without Mayor and Indonesian Legislation Assembly agreement. Policy take out by Communication Depatment to solve traffic Jam in Bundaran Air Mancur is canalisation system.</p>

<p><em>Sharia banking law was formed in the reform era through the procedure of making political decisions at the suggestion of the DPR RI. At the beginning of the reform order the legal product tended to be responsive. All the pillars of democracy can play a role. It's just that legal products that are born more serve international institutions or financiers because political configurations are more likely to be oligharkhi-cartels. The birth of this law is in line with the increasingly existence of Islamic banking in contributing and economic growth in Indonesia. As a political product, sharia banking law was born after a number of fundamental changes, especially changes in the construction of judicial authority carried out by the Supreme Court and the Judiciary under it. The birth of Islamic banking law follows a responsive legal character because this law embodies the needs of the community, guarantees business certainty and guarantees legal protection, gives space and movement to Islamic banking to develop and create innovations in Islamic banking products and services. In addition, this law is also the answer to the implementation of laws in accordance with Pancasila and has accommodated the needs of religious law. In the process of forming all stakeholders play an active role in either political parties or political forces, community organizations, government and society.</em></p>

This study is the students' perceptions about the teachers’ psychological sense of humor toward the learning motivation of grade VII SMPN 3 Batusangkar showed a positive relationship. There is a relationship between students' perceptions about the sense of humor with the learning motivation. This research is a correlation research that shows a positive relationship. The population of this study was the students of grade VII SMPN 3 Batusangkar which amounted to 214 people with the sample of the study amounted to 54 people taken with random sampling. The instrument in this research is questionnaire which Likert scale with four choices of answers consisting of: SS (Strongly agree, S (Agree), TS (Disagree), and STS (strongly disagree) The results of this study illustrates that there is a positive relationship of humor with the students motivation to learn who give a good impact in learning process with a pleasant situation and comfortable and not rigid so it can improve the spirit of student learning.

Zakat, beside to the pillars of Islam and ritual-vertical worship, is a socialhorizontal worship. Because basically zakat is allowed to the ummah of Islam in order to strengthen the economics of Muslims. This matter can be seen from the cues of the meaning of zakat in the language of al-numuw (growing and developing). To relize it, zakat must be paid by muzakki in accordance to the system that has been established shari’a. Among the systems that have been neglected are the payer of zakat which is done through amil formed by the government. Because the zakat workers who are collected through amil then managed professionally will be able to make zakat as a power of potential economic for ummat economic empowerment. Based on the Law No. 38 of 1999 and revised into Law No. 23 of 2011, the Indonesian government has adopted a part of Islamic Shari'a about zakat. In the Law, it is stated that the institution which have authority to carry out the duty of the Country in the zakat management in Indonesia are the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) with each level and the National Amil Zakat Institute (LAZNAS).

<p><em>2013 Curriculum points out English is no longer recommended as </em><em>a </em><em>local content subject in elementary schools in Indonesia. This policy does not </em><em>seem to make </em><em>parents and practitioners</em><em> stop </em><em>introducing English for young learners in Indonesia. There are some reasons to keep providing these learners</em><em> </em><em>with English. One of themdeal with the need to prepare young learners with the ability to communicate in English earlier which in turn will facilitate them to cope</em><em> </em><em>with and compete in global communication. Realizing the importance of providing young learners with the ability to communicate in English, this paper promotes English Club as an extracurricular activity for young learners in order to enhance the learners’ ability to communicate in English. This paper introduces format that can be applied by teachers, tutors, facilitators and practitioners of English club for young learners and the procedure as well which will give the members of the club a wide range of practice which will contribute to the members’ ability to communicate in English. In order to give a clear picture how activities in English club improve young learners’ ability to communicate in English, a sample activity is also included in this paper</em><em>.</em></p>

Information and communication technology is the most important part of IAIN Batusangkar library. The development of e-library or digital library in IAIN Batusangkar library is a solution to overcome various phenomena such as individual phenomenon, the distance location, social environment demanding fast and accurate information needs without having to visit the library and data collection requirement that can be accessed at any time. Responding to this phenomenon, IAIN Batusangkar Library developed a computerized automation system directed to improve the service process to the user library with good quality and speed, as well as to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of library management. The approach used is internet-based visualization. Digital Library is built by using Zi-shof e-library application of e-campus model. In the Digital Library is available a variety of collection of books, theses, journals, and research reports. The development of E-Library can be accessed either by students or not through the campus application of IAIN Batusangkar with the access library port http: //pustaka.iainbatusangkar. It answered a challenge and an important goal for an institution to develope the library in the future.

Teaching speaking to English young language learners is believed to be the most difficult thing to do by most of English teachers at this level due to the pupils’ limitation as the true beginners of foreign language learners. Some teachers even tend to think it an impossible skill to teach to these learners. This article convinces the teachers that by using story and role play and integrating them makes teaching speaking possible and interesting. Furthermore, Four Little Ducks shows how story encourages the pupils to take part and role play the story where the achievement of teaching speaking skill can be facilitated. This article also provides some basic understanding on how to use story and role play in teaching speaking to young learners and presents sample of lesson plans and instructional materials as well.

<p>Recently, teaching English for young learners becomes more favorable in Indonesia. Many schools starting from pre schools and kindergartens have inserted the English subject as the local content in their curriculum. However, as the preliminary research, it was found that the teachers were lacking of qualification as teachers for EYL. Assuming that microteaching strategy is effective on improving the teachers’ language as well as teaching competences, the writer did a quasi experimental research to 18 kindergarten teachers in Tanah Datar Regency. In order to find out the effectiveness, the sample was given pre-test and post test of speaking skill. As the result, based on the output of t-test score with value of Sig. (2-tailed) or P-value = 0.000<<<α (significance level 0.05), it was concluded that statistically Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It means there was a siginicant difference of the pre test mean score (14,89) and the post-test mean score (26,7). Therefore the microteaching strategy was effective to improve the Raudhatul Athfal teachers’ speaking skill in teaching English for young learners.</p>

<p>This article is motivated from the results of research in 2017 which this study focused to reveal the level of career aspirations of female students. The phenomenon in the field shows that there are still female students who avoid male-dominated career choices such as in engineering, automotive, mining and other career types. The general purpose of this research is to reveal the level of career aspirations of female students. This research uses quantitative approach. The subjects of this study are the students of class X SMAN 1 Sutera of female sex. Data collected using questionnaire instrument and then Data in analysis by using descriptive analysis. Based on the research results revealed that the level of career aspirations of female students of the average female is at a low level The low aspiration of women's career is due to many factors, one of which is gender stereotyping factor in the selection of careers in our society. Therefore, it is necessary for the efforts of counselor to help improve the aspirations of female student’s career through BK services, especially in helping to minimize the influence of gender stereotype in women's career selection.</p>

<p>The purpose of this research is to know the influence of generative learning model to the mathematist<em>.</em> problem solving ability. Kind of this research is quasi exsperiment with the randomized control group only design. The population of this research are the students of the eight grade SMP Negeri 1 Rambatan. The research sampling are taken by random. VIII 1 grade is as experimental class and VIII 2 grade is as control class. The research data are collected by problem solving test. The hypothesis is tested by using t-test. Based on the research finding it concluded that, students mathematist problem solving ability who learnt by generative learning model are better than convensional learning. Seens from the students first ability, the students who have high ability learnt by generative learning model are better than the convensional learning. The students who have low ability learnt by generative learning model are not different from convensional learning.</p>

<p>The demand of Curriculum 2013 emphasises on integration character values on spiritual, social, knowledge and skill aspects. The essence of teacher’s book and student’s book wasn’t optimally described on all the aspects. Those books described on interaction stages between receiving and responding (Gusmaizal and Beniario, 2016) and character values development depends on teacher’s creativity in teaching, due to material development needed for integrating character values (Muhammadiyah values). The purpose the of the studies are: to develop student’s work sheet was valid, practical, and effective. This research and development used ADDIE model development procedures, consist of stages; analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subject of the research was under taken in MA. KM Padangpanjang. Based on the findings of the studies can be concluded: first learning English materials development of the English learning following stages, 1) conducting need analysis of English English materials, 2) designing learning English materials integrated into character values of the English subject matter, 3) developing learning English materials integrated into character values (Muhammadiyah values) in such: student’ s work sheet, 4) implementing of English materials development in the classroom, and 5) carrying out an assessment of implementation of leaning English materials integrated character values (Muhammadiyah values). Second, learning English materials of the research was valid, practical and effective.</p>
