<p><em>Biology, as one field of science, provides various learning experience to understand the concept and the process of science. Biology subject aims at promoting positive attitudes toward Biology by realizing the orderliness and the beauty of the universe and praising the Almighty of God. It is also responsible for establishing Islamic values through instructional materials being taught and consequently the instructional goals can be attained. To arrive at such goals, particular learning approach, strategy, and even method which integrate Islamic values into instructional materials are really needed. This, in turn, will make learning meaningful to students and promote better learning output. To RLC series ac circuit resonant frequency is got when the value of electric current maximum and minimum to RLC parallel ac circuit. The result an exsperiment, in RLC series ac circuit by using R = 99,5 ohm and R= 32,136 ohm have frequence resonance 1800 Hz, and 1950 Hz for R = 9,185 ohm.Whereas in RLC parallel ac circuit with R = 99,5 ohm have frequence resonance 2000 Hz, and have range 1800 – 1900 Hz to R= 32,136 ohm,if R = 9,185 ohm frequence resonance 1800 Hz. The value frequence resonance by using formula on theory is 1808,53 Hz. <p>even though there is no meaningful relationship between the two variables. Sometime we expect no relationship between the two variables, yet a regression of one on the other variable often shows a significant relationship. This situation exemplifies the problem of spurious regression. Spurious regression problem may arise from regressing a nonstationary time series variable on one or more nonstationary time series variable(s). Therefore, it considers important to be able to determine whether a time series data is stationary or not. A time series data is called stationary if it does not contain any unit roots. A test of stationary (or nonstationary) has become widely popular since the last two decades is the unit root test. <p>Petragenol is an attractant contained methyl-eugenol. It is an insect’s pheromone signaling for mating, made colony, and feeding. The oranges had too an attractants especially for fruit flies. The aim of this research was to know the influence of combination of oranges extract and petragenol to Feeding Strategy of <em>Bactrocera dorsalis</em> flies. This research used the Y tube method. The 60 fruit flies were used as samples. The 10 flies were placed in start chamber Y tube and in two other tips were placed the bait as a single or combinations of non-matured oranges extract and petragenol (A), matured oranges extract and petragenol (B), decay-oranges extract and petragenol (C), and petragenol as control (D). Feeding Strategy defined by the need of time to reach the bait and the spend of time in the bait with categories as activity of Searching, Grounding, Gathering, and Learning. The data analyzed by Chi-square <em>(X<sup>2</sup>). </em>The results showed that the fastest searching activity in B, the longest time to gathering activity in A, the longest time to grounding activity in non-matured oranges extract, and the longest time to learning activity in matured oranges extract. It can conlude that the best attractant to teas <em>Bactrocera dorsalis</em> Feeding Strategy are matured oranges extract-petragenol combination for Searching and Learning activity, and combination of non-matured oranges extract and petragenol to grounding and gathering activity.</p><p>Key words: petragenol, oranges extract, feeding strategy</p>

<p>high. Most of health problem caused by infection of intestinum Soil transmitted helminth, frequently infected children. Based on this problem, the study is done to find out the frequensi of STH on the studens of SD Desa Senamat Kecamatan Pelepat Kabupaten Bungo, Jambi Province. The reseacrh is done on August 2010 at SDN 02/II Senamat and SDN 49/II Senamat. The reseacrh used Total sampling Technique. The amount of the sample of this study is 151. The result of this study shows that there are 30,34% infected by STH (<em>Ascaris lumbricoides</em> 22,47% ; <em>Trichuris trichiura</em> 0%, and 11,23% infected by cacing tambang, and infected by <em>Ascaris lumbricoides</em> and cacing tambang 3,37%). While, there are 41,49% infected by STH (<em>Trichuris trichiura</em> 0%, infected cacing tambang 19,35%, and infected <em>Ascaris lumbricoides</em> and cacing tambang 9,67%. This highest infection of STH was found on students of SDN 49/II Senamat, that was <em>Ascaris lumbricoides</em> 32,26% from 62 student.</p><p>Key words: soil transmitted helminth, student</p>

<p>Diarrhea is the second biggest cause of infant death in Indonesia. Diarrhea can caused by several factors, one of them is bacteria. The most common bacteria which cause diarrhea are <em>Escherichia coli</em> and <em>Salmonella</em> sp. The common treatment for the diarrhea victim uses synthetic antibiotic. Unfortunately, it gives side effect such as; fever, allergic, headache and resistance to strain microbe. Therefore the alternative treatment which does not cause side effect to the diarrhea victim is using antibiotic from plant need to be found immediately. One of them is using the extract from leave of morinda (<em>Morinda citrifolia</em> L.). Thus this research had been conducted in order to find out morinda leave extract in restricting the growth of <em>E. coli</em> and <em>Salmonella</em> sp. This research was conducted on Desember 2010 in Biology Laboratory of Biology department of STKIP PGRI West Sumatera. Experiment design is randomized completely design with six treatment and four replication. Treatment A used Amoxicilin and treatment B used morinda leave extract with level of concentration15 %, C 20 %, D 25 %, E 30 % and F 35 %. The method paper diffusion used to determine the diameter of inhibition area of morinda leave extract. The data was analyzed with ANOVA and continued with least significant different test with p<0.05. <div><p>Indo-Australian plate subduction on the Eurasian Plate took place on an ongoing and has formed active tectonics and volcanism on Mentawai andSumatrafault. The level of tectonic activity of this region can be learned through activities plate subduction under subduction velocity, angle of subduction and depth of subduction. An objective of fundamental research is to determine the pattern of the Indo-Australian plate subduction on the Eurasian plate. This research uses secondary data records form the earthquake inWest Sumatrain 1900 until 2005 which is available on BMG Padang Panjang. The speed and angle plate subduction are calculated using the formula of Le Pichon. The research shows that the average angle subduction of the Indo-Australian plate on the Eurasian plate and the surrounding area of West Sumatraare 31.330 with a speed relative subduction average of 6.32 cm / year and the velocity of the normal line is 4.93 cm / year.</p><p>Key words: subduction, plate, indo-australia, eurasia</p><div> </div></div>

<div><p>The aim of the research was to find out the concentration of corn flour added the star fruit jam in order to increase its quality. This was an experiment designed randomly (RAL) with five treatments and three trials consisting of different concentration of corn flour addition, that is: A (0%), B (5%), C (10%), D (15%), and E (20%). The analysis, conducted after letting the jam remain in 48 hours, focused on the level of water and sugar, as well as organoleptic tests on the level of color, flavor, aroma, and texture. As the result, the addition of corn flour with different concentration effects obviously on the quality of the star fruit jam. The highly qualified jam was found at the treatment B (corn flour concentration 5%) with water level 30.05%, sugar 63.75% and organoleptically accepted.</p><p>Key words: maizena, quality of corn flour</p><div> </div></div>

Limestone was converted in to PCC by using recarbonation method through calcinations, hydration and carbonation processes. Spesifically, calcination temperature had something to do with duration of lime stone to drive off CO<sub>2</sub>. Based on the analysis of physical properties, the size of particle PCC resulted on temperature 1100<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><sup>0</sup>C with the surface area 30,96 μm<sup>2</sup>/g was smaller than one on 800<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><sup>0</sup>C, 900<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><sup>0</sup>C, 1000<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><sup>0</sup>C And the percentage of its optical properties namely brithness was 94,9% and whiteness was 91,1 %. The XRF analysis showed that PCC had high purity level with CaO content 56 %. <p>Research about Sperm Production Pattern of Lesser Brown Horseshoe bat (<em>Rhinolophus stheno</em>): Microchiroptera in Indarung cave, Padang had. This research was using descriptive method toward testes preparation of Lesser Brown Horseshoe bat with using Hematoxilin-Eosin staining to observe the presence of spermatozoa. The result showed that the spermatogenesis activity on January until April 2007 was inactive, because there was no spermatozoa and seminiferous tubules epithelium only consisted of spermatogonium and spermatocytes. Spermatogenesis activity was started on May and spermatozoa had been released on June. <em>R. stheno</em> follows the bimmodally polyestrus reproduction pattern based on the hypothetical diagram that constructed as supporting mean for this statement.</p><span>Key words: sperm production, lesser brown horseshoe bat</span>

<p>Amylose content of rice is one of the variables that determine the quality of rice. Although Solok considered a first-class rice-producing areas inWest Sumatra, but a stable varieties will produce amylose content is relatively similar across all planting sites, so it can be cultivated in various regions. The study was conducted at 3 locations lowland rice production centers inWest Sumaterathat is Solok, Bukittiggi and Pariaman. The research design used at each location is randomized block design with 3 replications. The treatment consisted of 5 varieties of rice that is Cisokan, Anak daro, Randah-kuniang, Kuriak kusuik and Saratuih hari. The phytase production was induced by phytate in medium used. <p>Data prossesing of groundwater estimate research at Kabupaten Jeneponto, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan had been done. The research use geoelectric method and Schlumberger configuration. The result of 2-D inversion IP2WIN software show that this method can use for groundwater estimation. We had information of area where there had groundwater potention. Research area divided to 6 path, we know locate and depth information of groundwater from each path, on path 1: Desa Bontorappo and Desa Arungkeke have lower groundwater at 5-15 meter depth and deep groundwater at 45-50 meter depht. Path 2: Desa Balangloe Tarowang and Desa Arungkeke have lower groundwater at 1-15 meter depth and deep groundwater at 20-55 meter depht. Path 3: Kelurahan Benteng have groundwater at 0-100 meter depht. Path 4: Desa Bangkala have groundwater at 30-50 meter depht. A Research and Development designed was used. There were two phase were employed; front-back analysis and prototype. The result of front-back analysis showed that the students needed instructional materials to help them imagine surface form. Consequently, instructional materials were designed on the basis of e-learning. Then, validation was conducted by consulting three validators. <p><em>Evolutionary course materials in the Biology Department, State University of Padang inadequate to guide students to think critically, giving rise to various problems. One of the problems that arise are student learning outcomes at the course of evolution tend to be low, because the students are not familiar with the assessment instruments developed higher-order thinking skills. Problem thinking skills of students that is low, overcome by applying authentic asessment in the textbook used. Qualitative test goal is to produce an authentic assessment of molecular evolution in the textbook is good, and can improve higher-order thinking skills of students. Qualitative test is one of the stages of research development, adapted from the model of the development of 4D-models Thiagarajan, ie develop stages. Qualitative test conducted on students of the Department of Biology State University of Malang, because the student has more accustomed to using assessment that guide higher-order thinking skills, so the results will be better. Qualitative assessment test showed that there were several assessment instruments that need to be revised, in accordance with the values obtained by the students on the posttest. <p><em>The aims of the first year research were to figure out 1) forms and level of students’ discipline, 2) factors influencing students’ discipline, 3) forms of discipline encouragement carried out by the teachers. The result of the research will be used as a foundation for developing a model for students’ discipline management in order to build classroom-based nation character in West Sumatera senior high schools in the second year. The first research method employed in the first year was descriptive analysis while in the second one was applied research and mixing research method. To collect the data, questionnaire was administered to the students and in-depth interview was for the teachers. The population was students from three regencies and municipalities: Kabupaten Agam, Kota Payakumbuh and Kabupaten Tanah Datar where two school from each of the regions were chosen randomly. Sampling techniques employed was area purposive sampling. The data for the first year was analyzed by means of percentage formula while for the second year was t-test. The ending product of the research was a model. The findings of the research showed that forms and level of students discipline were good. Next, factors influencing students’ discipline were various. Last, forms of discipline encouragement carried out by the teachers were quite good. It was recommended from the first year research that a model for students’ discipline management in order to build classroom-based nation character in West Sumatera senior high schools was really needed.</em><em></em></p><p><strong>Kata kunci:</strong> pembinaan, disiplin, karakter bangsa, kelas</p>

<p><em>As a country with thousands of islands, geographically Indonesia is very potential to natural disasters which cause great lost, environmental damage and psychological effects. Besides, violence, such robbery, rapes, and bombing frequently took place in Indonesia. It is estimated that 1.50 % of population suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD) due to the violence. Studies show in America that 15 up to 43 % of females and 14 up to 43 % of males experience trauma</em><em> in their lives. Great numbers of individuals suffer from deep misery, uncertainty and desperation after natural disaster or violence and in turn leave them in stress, depression and trauma.
