This study aims to determine the effect of adding bentonite and stirring time in the process of bleaching oil from rubber seeds and to determine the optimal concentration of bentonite and stirring time in increasing the purity of rubber seed oil. This study uses a completely randomized factorial design with 2 factors. The first factor is the concentration of Bleaching Earth (bentonite) which consists of 2 levels. The second factor is the length of the stirring which consists of only 1 level. The combination of these factors consists of 2 treatments. The first factor is the concentration of bleaching earth (bentonite) (2.5%, and 3.0%). The second factor is stirring time (10 minutes). The test parameters are acid number, water content, and organoleptic which include color, aroma and taste. The results showed that the addition of bentonite concentration and length of stirring did not show any significant effect on the acid number, aroma and taste of rubber seed oil. However, the interaction of the two factors significantly influence the value of water content and the color of rubber seed oil. The best concentration of bentonite is 3.0% with a stirring time of 10 minutes, where the acid number is 1 mg KOH / g and the water content is 0.04%. <br />

One of the factors in fluence the achievement of learning objectives in schools is teaching material. Based on observations and interviews at SMAN 1 Rambatan, it was found that the teaching materials used by teachers were only textbooks and worksheets on material, formulas, and there were no practicum materials which were improved the 2013 curriculum. This caused the students have not found their own concepts. Therefore, this study aims to create a CTL based learning module to achieve valid HOTS, and practically can assist student in solving physics material, specifically for material harmonious vibration. This type of is research development or research with 4-D research models. which are donated : approved, developed, and disseminated. The CTL learning-based module for achieveing HOTS goals in physics learning designed about seven lessons, named : constructivism, asking questions, inquiry, learning communities, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment which are studying LOTS, MOTS, and HOTS students learning materials. Based on the results of module validation the very valid category percentage 92.06%. At the practicality stage results of the questionnaire responses of teachers and students obtained percentage 97.5% and 94.48% with a very practical category.

The principal as the top leader in an educational institution plays an important role in developing the quality of the institution. Criteria for a school principal is influenced by professionalism in carrying out his leadership. The competency of a school principal must have four competencies, namely pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence and professional competency. The principal’s leadership influences on the development and performance of the school. The research subject was 27 school principals of Raudhatul Athfal Pekanbaru City. The collection of data using the questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique is to use regression technique. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between self-concept and the work motivation of the head of Raudhatul Athfal Pekanbaru City, meaning that the better the self-concept of the head of Raudhatul Athfal Pekanbaru City, the better the work motivation.

Hedonism refers to an understanding considering that pleasure is the only way to achieve happiness in the world. Today, many students are willing to do anything in order to achieve that pleasure even though they have to violate the ethics and moral values applied in society. Nowadays, students no longer uphold the ethics and moral values of the nation. In this paper, the authors discussed the phenomenon of hedonism which is prevalent among Indonesian students according to the basic concepts of the philosophy of hedonism and the view of Islam. This study was conceptual research. Based on the discussion of the study, it can be concluded that hedonism begins to develop in Indonesian students at this time. They are willing to do anything to get their personal desires and pleasures, even if they have to do the actions contrary to the noble values of the nation, such as promiscuity and criminal acts. From the viewpoint of Islam, hedonism clearly contradicts the teachings of Islam since Islam does not teach its people to be wasteful and do useless things, and even commit disgraceful acts. Moreover, hedonism also has negative influences on the students. Therefore, the stdents should be well behaved in order not not fall into negative things. Besides, students are also expected to be able to fortify themselves by strengthening their faith so that they are not deceived by negative lifestyles, one of which is hedonism.

This study aims to improve the ability of prospective PAUD teachers in overcoming urgent problems in children through parenting exercises. This research employed action research method following the spiral model proposed by Kemmis and Taggart consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The key instrument was the researchers themselves while PAUD teachers were the informants. Data collection is done by interviewing and analyzing related documents. The stages of this research were: 1) preliminary studies, 2) field observations and interviews, 3) discussions with final year of PAUD students to see their understanding of the skills needed to deal with child abuses, 4) problem analysis, 5) planning actions, 6) implementing actions and observations and 7) reflection. There were three sessions which focused on materials on knowledge and skills in parenting training. Data analysis followed qualitative research principles as follow: 1) student knowledge on child abuses, and 2) skills in implementing parenting training (guiding parents in providing protection). Data interpretation was carried out by following the development of the results or outputs of each action given to the research subjects. The results showed that students gained new skills in dealing with child abuses through parenting exercises and felt satisfied with the practices. Parents also understood their role in preventing violence against children, namely: (1) encouragement, (2) educators and communicators, (3) supervisors and role models of children, and (4) as a counselor.

In the learning process of Islamic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti in Elementary School (1. SD Negeri 06 Batu Payuang, 2. SD N 03 Labuah Gunuang, 3. SD N 01 Bukik Sikumpa), the teachers have not delivered the material by using interesting learning media. Students have showed some difficulties such as understanding the subjects. This study aims to observe the implementation of learning on the subjects of Islamic Education and characters. Furthermore, it will produce products in the form of Interactive CD media on learning Islamic Religious Education and characters for the fourth class in elementary school. The research method uses Research and Development with ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Develop- Implement-Evaluate) model. This research has been done to the stage of practicality. The result of this research is Interactive CD media which is valid and very practical. It can be concluded that the learning process in the fourth class of three elementary schools requires a learning media and effective learning resources. The validity result is 79.08% with valid category. The validation for Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) is 86.31% with very valid category. The result of practicality by teachers as a whole is considered very practical with the average score is 86.15%. The result of practicality to the students as a whole is considered very practical with the average score of 91.39%

Various complaints from the public about the failure of character education in several educational institutions cannot be denied. This is proven by various news related to adolescent behavior. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education and the needs of the school towards gender-based character education models and local wisdom to overcome the deviant behavior of SMP / MTs students in Tanah Datar. The research method used is a qualitative method, namely research that aims to describe the phenomena associated with the implementation of character education in schools and is presented qualitatively. The implementation of character education by education providers has been going well, but it has not been maximized, because it is caused by other factors that influence it, including internal factors of students and external factors such as the household, school and community environment. Character education is carried out using an individual, group, classical approach, and involving parents. The teacher also gave a concrete example and joined with the students to pray in the congregation by giving directions, reading the Qur'an, praying dhuha, Asma al Husna, giving a message.

Penelitian lapangan (field research) yang bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran kesiapan siswa menghadapi era society 5.0 ditinjau dari aspek kreativitasnya. Indikator kreativitas yang diuji meliputi: 1) kemampuan untuk berpikir lancar; 2) kemampuan untuk berpikir luwes; 3) kemampuan untuk berpikir orisinil; dan 4) kemampuan untuk berpikir elaboratif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan kelas IX yang berjumlah 212 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah 15% dari total populasi atau sebanyak 32 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket yang terdiri dari 23 item valid dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0.909. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah: 1) pengecekan atau pengoreksian data yang telah dikumpulkan, karena kemungkinan data yang masuk (raw data) atau data terkumpul itu tidak logis dan meragukan (editing); 2) pemberian atau pembuatan kode pada tiap data yang termasuk dalam kategori yang sama (coding); dan 3) membuat tabel-tabel yang berisikan data yang telah diberikan kode sesuai dengan analisis yang dibutuhkan (tabulation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa MTsN 2 Pesisir Selatan memiliki tingkat kreativitas tinggi dan sudah memiliki kesiapan untuk menghadapi era society 5.0.

This research is backed up by the observation of researchers with the findings of the lack of technologybased learning media in elementary school in class VI on the theme of 8 Subtema 3 Sun, Earth and Moon. The purpose of the research is to generate a Box of learning media, a valid Miror Power technology, practical and effective. The development method chosen in the study is the development of 4-D models with the Define, design, develop and disseminate stages. The validation test result states that the very valid Box Eclipse Learning Media is used at 4.25 or 85%. While in the practical tests seen from the response teachers and learners state that practical learning media is used with validation of 3.77 or 94.25%. Students who like learning media as much as 13 people or 92.8%. To test the effectiveness of media Box eclipse affects the activity and learning outcomes of learners. Based on the research it was concluded that the learning media Box Eclipse based Miror Power technology is very valid, practical and effective in the learning process in class VI theme 8 subtheme 3 Learning 1.2, and 5.

This research aims to show English teachers’ assessment of Prof. Dr. Hamka Modern Boarding School in the 2013 curriculum. The explanations of assessment were the types of assessment, the implementation and the problem faced by the teachers. Kind of this research was descriptive. There were two English teachers and 36 students as subjects of this research. The instruments used were observation checklist, questionnaire sheet and interview guideline. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result showed 52,5% of assessment applied by all English teachers in the 2013 curriculum. The numbers of the students become main problems besides basic knowledge, overburdened of time and classroom management. In short, the English teachers’ assessment include ‘Fair’ category. Consequently, the assessment training and workshop should be followed the teachers. Furthermore, the researcher can conduct more wide research to know the English teachers’ assessment in the 2013 curriculum.

Learning activities are directed to forming students' knowledge, attitudes and skills. However, this goal has not yet been fully achieved in Fiqh learning at MTsN 1 Bogor, because there is still a low level of students' abilities in the material of Zikr and Dua. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the quality of learning by teachers with classroom action research. The effort made is to apply the group investigation in cooperative learning. The study was conducted in two cycles consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results are an increase in students' learning outcomes by an average value of 80.93. The improvement of students' learning outcomes from pre-cycle reached 73.91%. The improvement of students' learning outcomes is very significant and satisfying. Thus, group investigation in cooperative learning can improve students' learning outcomes. <br />

This research was motivated by lack of student learning responses in the classroom. There are several students who want to ask questions , respond and express ideas in the process of teaching science lessons. One effort to overcome this problem is to use the Constructivist Learning Approach in learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement in student responses and student learning outcomes in science learning in the fourth grade of SDN 23 Ujung Gurun Padang by implementing a constructive learning approach . This study is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles . The subjects in this study were students of class I V which numbered 21 people . The research data is obtained from learning responses and student learning outcomes. The results showed that an increase in student learning responses from cycle I to cycle II was 11.65%. Increasing student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II is equal to 10.25%. It can be concluded that the Constructivist Learning Approach can improve student learning responses and student learning outcomes. <br />

Guidance and counseling activities are carried out by counselors who are professional and truly experts in their fields. However, students' wrong understanding of guidance and counseling sometimes causes negative perceptions of counseling at school, causing students to be afraid when dealing with counseling. In fact, guidance and counseling services are guided services by professionals toward a person or group of individuals for the development of effective daily life and the handling of disrupted effective daily lives with an independent personal focus that is able to control itself through the implementation of various types of services and supporting activities in learning process. So, in that case BK's teacher as the executor of BK's services in school must have special attention in this matter, and it will be a challenge for BK's teachers to be able to change the negative perceptions of students through providing various types of guidance and counseling services.

The use of soap is one way to protect the skin from infection and prevent skin infections. Red betel (piper crocratum) is a plant that has a lot of antibacterial properties. Soap is a cleanser made by a chemical reaction between sodium hydroxide and fatty acids from vegetable oils or animal fats. The parameters between fatty acids and alkalis are important parameters in producing quality soap. Red betel leaf extract was carried out using maceration method using 70% alcohol solvent. Alkaloid test, flavonoid test, saponin test, terpenoid test, polyphenol test from the five tests produced only three which showed positive results, namely saponins, terpenoids and polyphenols. The formulated soap has a pH of 10. Testing of white and smelly organoleptics Like solid flower forms. Making soap with TEA functions as surfactant and foam stabilizer, surfactants are active surface-reducing compounds that are useful for uniting phase oils and liquid phases.

Vocabulary is an important thing in English. Therefore, at university vocabulary is a compulsory subject for English language study program. Students cannot speak, write, listen, and read the reading texts when they do not have enough vocabulary to understand the reading texts. Thus, students should master vocabulary. The purpose of this research is to know students’ problems in vocabulary mastery. This research is a descriptive research. The population of the research is students of education faculty of UPI YPTK Padang in 2018/2019 academic year. The sample of the research is students of English education language study program. The data were collected by using questionnaire. Questionnaire is given to know students’ reasons and problems in mastery vocabulary. The result of the questionnaire proved that students have different opinions about their ability in mastery vocabulary.

Conceptually thematic learning close to the environment. Therefore, thematic learning should make optimal use of the potential of the environment to make it more meaningful. Meaningful learning can be provided with local wisdom-based learning media. This type of research is Research Development with a 4-D development model, consisting of stages define, design, development, disseminate.This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of thematic learning media in the form of pop-up books based on local Riau wisdom for grade IV Elementary Schools. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of thematic learning media in the form of pop-up books based on Riau's local wisdom for grade IV Elementary Schools. Validity data collection techniques through validation by experts in the field of learning design, practicality data collection through the use of instructional media using observation sheets. Meanwhile, effectiveness data collection is done by observing student activities and learning outcomes.This research was conducted at SDN 027 Rambah and SDN 008 Rambah. The results showed that the level of validity of the lesson plan and learning media included in the very valid category of 87.3%, then the practicality level of the implementation of lesson plans, teacher responses, and students fall into the category of very practical that is 89.5%, and the level of effectiveness of student activity is at a percentage of 87.9% when testing and 88.9% when disseminating the very good category. Thus, it can be concluded that the thematic learning media in the form of pop-up books based on Riau's local wisdom developed has been valid, practical, and effective.

The research has conducted on the formulation of dish soap with coffee powder extract. The extraction was using maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. Indirectly, there is a need for novelty innovations to proceed the products that are widely distributed in Indonesia is to be used as one of the ingredients of medicine. One of them is by combining with the dish soap formulation. Therefore, by combining coffee powder extract into a dish soap formulation can provide the best quality of cleanliness.

ABSTRACT This development research aims to improve the quality of measurement results from evaluation tests of learning outcomes made by teachers on social studies subjects. Optimization activities are carried out to improve the validity and reliability of tests. This research uses level 3 R&D methods, namely researching, developing and improving existing products. The model used in the instrument development guide is the richey model with 4 stages: research, design, production and evaluation. The empirical instrument testing was carried out on the fifth grade elementary school students. The testing activities were carried out in two stages, with a total sample of 140 students. The results of this development research are valid and reliable evaluation instruments so that the measurement results can provide correct estimates of student learning outcomes. The results of the evaluation of the developed test instrument inform that 1) multiple choice tests have passed content evaluations by evaluation experts and social studies, 2) item validity analysis shows that all multiple choice test items designed have been statistically valid. Based on the results of the Pearson correlation calculation, the calculated R value is greater than the R table at alpha 0.05 which is> 0.20, meaning that the test has a good correlation between the item scores and the total test scores. 3) the value of the reliability of the test is quite high at 0.84 which means that the measurement results of the developed test are reliable.

Oral cavity's health is very important for humans, in the oral cavity there are various kinds of bacteria or fungi, that is due to the leftovers of the food we've eaten, temperature, humidity and nutritious environment in the oral cavity, it can increase the growth of microorganisms quickly. To inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi in the oral cavity, the researchers made a mouthwash formula using natural ingredients namely gambier and cinnamon. This study has aims to find out the effectiveness of gambier and cinnamon which is inserted into a mouthwash formula toward the development of Streptococcus Mutans bacteria and the Candida Albicans fungus. This study used an experimental method and for testing the effectiveness of mouthwash on bacteria and fungi, the Paper Disk technique was used. From the analysis conducted on Streptococcus Mutans bacteria and Candida Albicans fungus which is reproduced, there was an inhibition of the growth of Streptococcus Mutans bacteria and Candida Albicans fungus on the test equipment, therefore gambair and cinnamon are quite effective to be used in making natural mouthwash formula
